About Us

The Hendon and Mill Hill Ballet School began in 2009, and since then has grown to serve the local community, nurturing many children through their ballet training.

Maddy Wynne-Jones took over the school in January 2015. She is a Canadian born dance practitioner and choreographer who has been teaching in London since 2003. She brings to the school extensive experience in teaching all ages in ballet, contemporary dance, choreography, and drama. Maddy places an emphasis on the enjoyment of movement and musicality, and believes adamantly in cultivating each dancer's individual creativity whilst developing technical excellence.

We teach ballet to the Cecchetti syllabus (this is one of the main forms of ballet, like RAD / Classical and French). The Cecchetti method, developed by Enrico Cecchetti in the 19th Century, emphasizes clear technique and is known for its clean lines, and balanced movements.

We provide every dancer with a termly report, written by their teacher. The termly reports are an opportunity for parents and carers to understand what their child has been working on in ballet class over the term, what they have achieved, and what they can work on in the term to come. It allows parents and carers to track their child’s progress, and inspire the children to continue to achieve their goals
